Salt Dough Recipe
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 Cup Salt
1 Cup Cold Water
2tsp of Food Coloring, this allows you to be more playful.

Make the Salt DoughMix flour and salt together in a bowl. Slowly mix water, a few tablespoons at a time - until dough is smooth and easy to handle. Knead dough for 10 minutes. Allow dough to rest for 20 minutes. |

Create your ShapesUsing a rolling pin, roll out a slab of dough a little thinner then your pinky finger. (approximately 1/4in)
Using a tooth pick create at least eight different shapes. Themes such as spring, space, or nature are good ways to keep all shapes to a one idea for young creators. Each shape should have a hole throw the top of each shape, so you can pull a piece of string through it later. This should be made before shapes are put into oven. |
