A Note from Your Teacher
Hello Food Musical Theater Friends! We sang some songs, we created stories, we danced, and we played games. Since our class was cut short, here's one more class for you to do at home to wrap up our fun time together!
Let’s start with our toes in the circle!
|
Have your family join you for our usual class warm up. Let's see how much we have in common with one another! |
Get ready for story time...
|
There was one more story book I wanted to share with you during our class. It’s called Spaghetti in a Hotdog Bun by Maria Dismondy. |
Now it's time to sing along!
|
Let’s review On Top of Spaghetti! Be sure to listen for my special challenge.
On top of spaghetti all covered with cheese I lost my poor meatball when somebody sneezed It rolled off the table, it rolled on the floor And then my poor meatball rolled out of the door It rolled in the garden and under a bush And then my poor meatball was nothing but mush. The mush was as tasty as tasty could be, And early next summer it grew to a tree. The tree was all covered all covered with moss And on it grew great big meatballs and tomato sauce. So if you eat spaghetti all covered with cheese, Hold on to your meatball and whenever sneeze. |
|
On Top of Spaghetti Video Challenge Here's the video so you can sing along with your family at home! After you feel confident enough that you know the song lyrics and have your motions created and memorized, upload a video of yourself doing the song! We'd love to see how you put your own creative twist on acting out the story! |
End Objective
Students should be able to create movement as visuals for illustrating the story within a song.

Want to keep going?
Here's an additional story time if you're excited for more! This book is called The Jelly Donut Difference, and it also teaches us important lessons about being good friends. |
