A Note from Your SMARTS Teacher
Hello! I hope you are all doing well. I am very sad that we weren’t able to finish our semester together but I hope that this will give you all some closure on the project we started together while still at SMARTS if you choose to participate. Being that we did not have time to write and finish our stories I will be linking you to three stories to choose from. This way you can focus on creating your dance! For anyone who was not with us during our last class or who simply needs a refresher on what this project is…
SMARTS Modern Dance Challenge
Please choose one story to read and translate into a dance. There is no minimum or limit on how long you dance should be. Simply tell the story using movement instead of words. Some of these stories are a bit long so you may choose to tell an abbreviated version of any of these stories.

I know that there are more than one character in each story so you may choose to play one character or several. There are not many rules so be creative and have fun! Here are your guidelines…

Thank you all for an amazing semester! I know it is unfortunate that we had to end things early but I had a blast getting to know you all and teach this course. I look forward to seeing what you create and hope to see you next year back at SMARTS!
