Steps
Step One: Tune your violin!
Step Two: Play long bows on open strings for 4-8 seconds.
Step Three: Play through Twinkle Twinkle Little Star really listening to yourself and watching your bow to make sure it is in the right part of the instrument, between the bridge and the fingerboard.
Step Four: After playing it through the first time, assess yourself based on tone, were the notes in tune, was the rhythm correct, was the bowing correct? Play it through a few times until you really love how it sounds and are happy with the way you played the piece.
Step Five: If you need more assistance or are confused where your fingers should be placed, watch the Youtube video provided above!

Step Seven: Be super proud of yourself that you accomplished these pieces today. It isn’t easy to do and you’ve done something incredible!

Step Five: Play through Go Tell Aunt Rhody using all of the same assessments that you used for Lightly Row and Song of the Wind.
