A Note from Your SMARTS Teachers
Hey Adventures in Piano Students! We were all working different songs in each of our classes, but here is an activity all of us can do together to wrap up what we learned this year!
Lesson
Practice playing and reading rhythms by ear and sight to be able to create your own song.

SMARTS Adventures in Piano Challenge
Make your own song by choosing four animal friends and placing them in any order. Then assign a solfege name to each animal. Choose between Do, Re, Mi, Sol, or La. Then practice playing your animal song on the corresponding black keys of a piano. Make sure you play the right notes in the right order! And remember to push each key the correct number of times for the animal's syllables. Video tape yourself playing your song. Make sure you share in your video which animals you chose! We can't wait to see!
